Will it run reasonably on my PC?

I'm new here and i'd like to get the emulator but it's alot of work and i don't want to end up having done all the work to find the emulator not working properly or maybe not working fast enough. So can anyone tell if the emulator works reasonably fast on a pc with folowing properties?

I have a laptop, but I don't know if thats an important factor:

Windows Vista Home premium
Processor: AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile Technology TL-50 1.60 GHz
RAM: 895 MB
Type: 32-bits
Graphics: Nvidia

So can anyone tell if it's worth the work on a computer like this?

well it depends on the games you want to run ,you might be able to run some 2d games with speedhacks of course. anyway if you want just give it a try and install the latest beta 1888 to see if it pleases your expectations (of course it won't run 60 fps on 3d demanding games). btw you didn't specify your nvidia model
