Will you use CFW on PS3? also a tutorial on how to do it
#1
TUTORIAL so yeah use it if you want to ^^ seems to need no "jailbreak"dongle just an usb stick.

heavent tried it myself, since I'll wait at least until sony shows a reaction.

what will you do will you ever install CFW never or do you already have it

EDIT: CFW means Custom FirmWare and you may need it for homebrew legal backups or other custom features IDK if the otherOS feature counts^^

Kudos: to Pirate who wrote the Guide apparently for the PS3HAX Network

Yes! I'm not sure which CFW you linked to, but I'm running kmeaw's CFW, with installation of unsigned packages. Currently FTPing stuff to my box, since I just updated, but I really want to run some stuff from psl1ght, and signing it and packaging it is a hassle (I'm too lazy to write a 10 line shell script Cool )

I wonder what a CFW could do that the original firmware isn't able to??

The only valueable feature is the revamped Game-OS hack and the possibility to write own code... again.

There are many emulators out for the 3.55 CFW already. I'm running kmeaw's. It lets me install some of my games fully to the HDD which is really nice. I am hopeful that I will be able to run Linux on my slim sometime soon.
