Win7 64 Bit Crash on Startup (Gray Screen)
#1
Hello -

I promise I've tried searching for resolutions to my issues (some I've found, one big one I have not).

Everything is looking great until I actually try to start a game. I select my .iso, but when I boot, the system doesn't do much (screen starts black, then becomes gray) and then I get a windows error message ("pcsx2.exe has stopped working").

For reference, my system (is cheap, I know) consists of everything below as well as a GeForce 710 GT GPU. I essentially put this $140 "rig" together for the purpose of using the pcsx2 emulator.

I added a screenshot of the crash to this post (I think) and it is also on imgur:

Does anyone have any suggestions for what my issue may be?

Thank you in advance.

do you get the same issue if you choose "no disc" and try to boot?

I do believe so (attached). Confirmed my installed version and verified the latest version was installed...DirectX 11. Slightly confused why dxdiag only shows "11" rather than "11.1." Confirmed the windows update (KB2670838) was installed though (I have no other windows updates pending - I just did a clean install of Windows 7 < 1 week ago and Windows Update says I'm all good to go).

Huh. Your statement has been validated, should anyone ever feel the need to question it.

Downloaded, installed, and I'm up and running.

Thank you so very much!!!

It's a beginners trap that, they see "directx 11" and they assume that means it's up to date Smile
