Windows 8 Lag issue
#1
I am having most trouble with playing games despite using heavy speedhacks and plugin options. No matter what game I tried loading (Silent Hill 2, TimeSplitters Future Perfect, and Urban Chaos so far, which can't even make it past the title screen without going at about 20% speed). Although TimeSplitters is probably the best working (barely, 60%) and all the characters just sound drunk.

Windows 8 HP Desktop
AMD E2-1800 APU with Radeon HD graphics 1.70 GHz
4.00GB (3.67 usable)
64 bit operating system
PCSX2 v0.9.8

I am too poor for a new graphics card let alone computer and I am pretty much lucky to have the one I do now for about five years. Is there any possible solution to this or am I just screwed? I wish to play the game I never been able to and the ones I enjoyed back when I had them.

I guess you'll have to play them on your PS2 console.
that PC is definitely not up to the par to play those games under pcsx2
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Your system wont even run any of the better pc games after 2007 (ie crysis) with playable frame-rates, let alone emulating one of the most-different-to-x86 console in existance.

Not only below-minimum PC specs, but also this.
AKA the Crimson Threadkiller
CPU: AMD R7 5800X UV'd | RAM: 16(2x8)GB DDR4 @ 3000MHz (OC'd +200) |
GPU: Palit Dual Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12GB UV/OC'd | OS: Windows 10 Home 21H1 | RES: 1080p165

Ironically 0.9.8 will probably run better on that rig than the current PCSX2 versions, as 0.9.8 is far less accurate, thus requires less resources.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super @ 6 GB | Samsung 980 1TB | Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2)

That's a strange fact, but makes sense, I guess.

I've read quite a bit and decided maybe go to the forums for a last resort, figures that my PC can't run many games. Would it still be possible if I replace my APU with CPU and a discrete GPU?

Unfortunately the HP p2-1310 (probably your system, but this is the same for them all) is not upgradeable. Well at least not in any way that will help with PCSX2

There is no slot for a GPU (or anything PCI related) and the CPU is a part of the motherboard unless ypu have some pretty specific tools available. Basically think of it as a laptop in a much bigger and less portable case.... though the ram and harddrive are pretty easy to access.

Some Playstation era 2 games that are native to the PC should run reasonably well. The GTA series comes to mind (3, vice city, and san andreas) should run mostly fine and with some enhancements. Though I don't think that time splitters or SH or urban chaos got a PC release.
