Windows 8, No BIOS on first config?
#1
Setting up for the first time on a new laptop; and no matter where I install PCSX2 or set the BIOS folder too, it's not seeing my BIOS file (SCPH-1001.bin). I've got it as a .bin, and have dumped from both mine and my friend's PS2, multiple times, with no success. Installed, and started, both as an Administrator and regularly. I've installed to Program Files, Program Files (x86), and My Documents. Set the BIOS folder in the PCSX2 folder in Program Files, Program Files (x86), and in My Documents. I've also tried selecting the desktop as a source, but no matter what it's set as PCSX2 will not see the BIOS.

Any ideas on what might be causing this, or any possible fixes?

Considering that is a PS1 BIOS I highly doubt you got it by dumping it from a PS2. Downloading a BIOS is illegal just so you know and we take that quite seriously around here. And before you say something like "You have no proof I downloaded it" - no I have no proof, but the point is you couldn't possibly get a PS1 BIOS from a PS2 and yet you are claiming you did. So it doesn't add up. Either way that's your problem.
