Right, is the same with me, two years with out major problems(the only problems that i could count, were for drivers) besides like u say again in other post, the ui of 8 is fugly, what the ***** is that *****, i want to see my fking desktop and not that -*****.

it's optional interface, you can switch back to old-school windows theme if you want, just like ubuntu unity.

Which is why no one without a touch screen needs 8, especially if they don't plan on pirating it... all you will get is a new UI and compatibility probs.

EDIT: Plus I live on the Isle of Man, the idea that my internet connection could even handle heavy live streaming like that just confounds me, Cloud sounds like something just for South koreans, japanese, americans and scandinavians. I Downloaded Windows 8 with the Developer tools and it came up to 4.8GB and doesn't fit on a Standard DVD-R Disk, So I to Download it again without the Devtools

So,finally I can change windows xp with windows 8.

you need to put in a USB flash drive(Win to Flash) instead of blank DVD
