@Koji, you can disable that for the standard start menu.

I'm not ready to throw away windows 7 just yet, especially since I've never run a windows system 24/7 for over 2 years without having to reinstall it before. It's nice to finally have a stable enough operating system to do this, and I have no need or desire to take a step back both in GUI and stability.

Though maybe as an experiment I'll run it on my older laptop just to play around with it.

Right, is the same with me, two years with out major problems(the only problems that i could count, were for drivers) besides like u say again in other post, the ui of 8 is fugly, what the ***** is that *****, i want to see my fking desktop and not that -*****.

it's optional interface, you can switch back to old-school windows theme if you want, just like ubuntu unity.

They Have Also Replaced the Win32 API with WinRT

Is any keygen or crack needed for that thing or it is free to use? If it is free, I'll download and test it on VMware Workstation.

Which is why no one without a touch screen needs 8, especially if they don't plan on pirating it... all you will get is a new UI and compatibility probs.

But, you can still process everything using your own hardware right? You don't need to have cloud switched on? I REALLY disagree with the whole cloud concept in the first place, bloody socialist invention.

EDIT: Plus I live on the Isle of Man, the idea that my internet connection could even handle heavy live streaming like that just confounds me, Cloud sounds like something just for South koreans, japanese, americans and scandinavians. Britain's internet is just atrocious, superpower my ass, I went to Ukraine(collapsed, corrupt, ex-soviet state) to stay with a friend and he was just on a normal £5 a month thing they have there and I was getting 30mb/s download speed -.- here in Britain I get 100 kbps peak.
