It's so huge and it's not really great to start it manually.

Install the service, if it isnt starting on its own, you can either open a command prompt as administrator and type:

net Start "SCP DS3 Service"
to start it and
net stop "SCP DS3 Service"
to stop it

OR

in windows 7 open the task manager>services>services button
look for SCP DS3 Service and right click on it to start it and if you want it to start with the PC then change on properties to automatic.

so i installed everything.. clicked scpdevice and installed it too..
now im using my ps3 controller without a bluetooth dongle.. just usb cable.
i open the game spelunky and immediatly it shows on the cutscene click X to skip...
but it doesnt work! the controller isnt working.. not in the menu and not in the game..
it used to work with motioninjoy but i dont want that..
any idea?

so i guess its not working without a bluetooth dongle.. i got one
i made it to pair.. my controller was blinking and then only number 2 led is on.
i restarted my pc opened a game called broforce.. the controller worked for 3 seconds.. and stopped responding
the led is still on..
please what do i do? it worked right when the computer booted and then stopped...

Hello, I'm new here.
First of all, thanks for a great piece of software.
Now, I've been having a problem when trying to use my PS3 controller with Project64 ver. 2.1.0.1. The problem I have is I cannot get rumble pak to work. I seem to be able to get Visual Rumble only. I am using N-Rage Input V2 2.3c for configuration. I have tried Jabo's Direct Input and there's no Rumble Pak available from the drop-down menu for Paks.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

did you checked xinput in the controller settings? just tested with ridge racer 64 and it works. No need to select forcefeedback divice.

I have one question, how to charge the PS3 controller through USB ?

Either way, it didn't work.
I looked for an SCP service but there are not listed.
I can't activate them neither way.
And I don't want to sound annoying but is there a application like Better Ds3 for this?
I know the DS4 has something like this but I couldn't find somethig for DS3.

Updating Bluetooth drivers for dongles not on the supported list.

1. Download the Tools from Post #1.
2. Unpack the archive.
3. Run Zadig.exe from the ScpServer\bin\Zadig folder.
4. If you have UAC enabled click Yes on the UAC dialog.
5. Click Device -> Load Preset.
6. Select Bluetooth.cfg, click Open.
7. Click Options -> List All Devices.
8. Select your Bluetooth Dongle from the drop down list.
9. Click Replace Driver.
10. Click Yes if the Warning - System Driver dialog pops up.
11. Click Close on the Driver Installation dialog.
12. Verify that your dongle displays in ScpMonitor.
13. Verify that your dongle displays in Device Manager.

My bluetooth is not in the supported list, then i used the method above.
My DS3 can pair with my bluetooth for the first time.
But, after i reboot my laptop, my DS3 cant pair with my laptop bluetooth anymore.

now i played on my ps3 wit hthe controller and now i want to play on pc again..
they wont connect. how do i make them connect again? ps3 to pc and bluetooth
