XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
Hi,

I tried to use DS2 on Play.com USB Adapter (USB\VID_0B43&PID_0003) with the last version (1.2.0.160) but it is not recognized when I install driver with ScpDriver.exe.

Is there something special to do as it said "An updated XInput Wrapper is included as part of the Driver Package" but I don't see any (USB\VID_0B43&PID_0003) in inf files only in DS2Controller.cpp.

Thank you for your help.

Edit: Running it with Task Manager open I can see the process start but after ~10 seconds it disappears.

Try the unblocking thing mentioned in the first post.

Edit: I use Win 8.1. The pad is an original dualshock 3 and my laptop is a MSI GS60

Well, what did you do yesterday that may have broken it?

I am having the same problem and none of the files in my folder are blocked (there was no 'unblock' option for any of them, like normal files). The Scpdriver.exe service appears after running Scpdriver.exe as an administrator but then stops after a few seconds. I have also checked the security of each file and everything except 'special authorizations' is checked for all of them, for SYSTEM and administrators.

I uninstalled Motioninjoy completely, from Control Panel --> Uninstall Programs and then going to Device Manager and deleting it from there. I plugged in my DS3 afterwards to let the default drivers be installed. I already have .NET Framework 4.0, DirectX 11 and Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories installed.
Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the L2 and R2? I'm a pretty light presser, so I keep missing buttons since I have to press all the way.

Post the ScpDriver.log file that should appear

ScpDriver.log doesn't exist on my computer. I ran Scpdriver.exe again twice, once like normal and once with the DS3 plugged in and then I checked for it both times.

I also have Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) and (x64), along with ones from 2005, 2008 and 2010. The XboxStat.exe service is also running.

I tried with last update (1.2.2.175) same result it doesn't install the DS2 driver Sad
Hi, everything installs ok and works great with controller showing in devices and printers, but every time i restart laptop it does not work, it seems SCP DS3 Service is always stopped, even thou it is in msconfig services, but always shows stopped, also in Component Services SCP DS3 Service is also shown as stopped even thou startup type is set to automatic, i can get it to work each time by going into services and manually starting it, but its a bit of a pain doing this each time, any ideals how to get it working correctly, thx

Just to add: in event viewer i get these errors each time below.

The SCP DS3 Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the SCP DS3 Service service to connect.
All of us know that ps3 controllers are more expensive than x360 controller for windows.
So , If you do something about making it possible to use this driver on cheaper gamepads (I mean a ps2 LIKE gamepad for pc."USB Vibration Joystick") , then you will be a god.
I asked you before, but no one even thinks about it.
My gamepad has this vid pid. USB\VID_0079&PID_0006.
Fortunately , It is in the motioninjoy gamepad list :

%MIJ.DeviceName%=CC_Install, USB\VID_0079&PID_0006 ;

It works for me.
This is my gamepad.
