@Braethias: service applications are integrated into Windows and not intended to be run directly from a user shell. You can view/start/stop them using the Service Control Manager [Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services].
The service may not be able to auto-start at boot time if you have installed it under a special folder - C:\Users\<user-name>\*, since these do not exist at boot, they are mapped when you login.
You wont need to run ScpServer when you get a BTH Dongle, will just need to run ScpDriver to install the driver on it.
@Topken: you may be having a similar problem to one that dead_pixel reported. After a reboot (after gaming for a few hours) his Dongle would stop responding, and would not be able to connect his DS3. He also has a combined WiFi/BTH Adapter [Atheros chip based], seemed to be a hardware issue on that particular adapter.

Is there an off button combination? Id like to play some other games i have that use gamepads and keyboard, But my PS3 controller is still connected via bluetooth, and outside of taking the dongle out (as that will just be annoying) how do i disable it?

@hellbringer616: the default self power off for a DS3 is press and hold PS for 10 secs.
Steams "Big Picture" mode is activated by press and hold PS for 3 secs.
So in the 0.7.0.96 Beta I added a quick disconnect - press and hold L1+R1 and press and hold PS for 2 secs.
Any particular reason you don't want to use your DS3 for your other games?

I find mouse and keyboard better for Skyrim and Borderlands 2. Just a personal preference. Years of playing NWN and KotOR i suppose
Okay, the disconnect worked (i think) but Skyrim still thinks that the joy is plugged in. Any ideas?

@hellbringer616: ok, I thought you were just wanting to save battery on your DS3.
The Virtual X360 controller will remain plugged in, in a Reserved state. To unplug it stop the "SCP DS3 Service", either from Service Control Manager or using an elevated command prompt - net stop "SCP DS3 Service"
