XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller

After a series of problems I could overcome just with Google etc., I stumbled upon another problem, and that's the fact that for some reason the xinput tester thingie doesn't recognize that I've a controller. SCPMonitor says everything is disconnected. I'm using a Dual Stick Gamepad GM-1520 and I was told it works with it.

That is a PS2/USB controller, this is not supported by Xinput Wrapper, maybe, and just maybe, what you are looking for is X360CE. You can also try getting one of these:

I have one and it works either as a PS3 controller or as a xbox controller on the PC, I can use any playstation 1 or 2 controller.

Well I've been using x360ce for couple of years but in the newest FIFA 15 demo, it doesn't work at all for some reason, don't know why. So I was looking for an alternative and someone suggested to me this, though I had no clue it doesn't support my controller. I guess I'll have to wait for some kind of fix when the actual game comes out, I don't really wanna spend money on something I don't like and take time to get used it it (xbox 360 controller). Well thanks for clarifying that.
I saw SCPService running at 100% CPU a few days ago. Not sure what was going on with it but some kind of nasty hang that pegged CPU usage hard. Anyone seen this before? Win 8.1.

I've also had some strange bugs in-game recently where it would press the wrong button on me, but maybe low battery life I realized?

FYI, this works great on the Surface Pro 2, if you want to add that to the list of working Bluetooth devices. You have to use the Force Install checkbox on Windows 8.1. I actually bought a Bluetooth dongle since other DS3 drivers weren't working for me and I thought I needed it.
I know this has been asked a while ago but I was wondering if you are planning to add Sixaxis support (tilt controls) any time soon?

Because I would like to use my DS3 controller with Dolphin and the additional axis would be very helpful for assigning (and of course using) the Wiimote controls.
Not to mention that its pretty much the last advantage that MotionJoy has, not that I would ever use it again but other users might because of this.

Or is it actually possible to add support for it? I already saw that someone here in this thread was able to make use of this feature but he ditched the right analog stick for it.
I assume thats because you can't really assign new buttons from the 360 controller to this since there are none left but would it be possible to somehow add new buttons that you can assign to these DS3 controls?

Im not sure, but maybe native Dualschock 3 Native mode already does, the problem is it only works with lilypad plugin, dolphin would need to have support for this, at this moment the most that could be made, is to remap the motion-sensing to the analog sticks (instead of using the analogs move the controller)
Hey guys, I've been having a couple issues with bluetooth and my DS3. When I use wired, everything works fine. On Bluetooth, the light changes to 1 and I get rumble when I test the motors in SCPserver, but I see battery 00000000 none. None of the controls work in steam games in bluetooth mode.

I'm pretty sure my controller is original as I got it with my PS3 purchase from a large retailer.
I've used Motioninjoy with success previously, but it recently became too much of a pain for me to try to use it, so I decided to look this up. I followed all the installation instructions, my dongle wasn't supported so I ran zadig and it timed out. Zadig itself stopped responding after that, so I opened task manager to close it and try again. That's when my comptuer froze on the ctrl-alt-del menu and I had to hard shutdown and start my computer back up. When I did this, it got stuck on the welcome screen, forcing me to start up in safe mode and do a system restore, to just before running zadig. I tried running zadig again and the drivers installed successfully, but my controller wouldn't pair to the bluetooth and it wouldn't work on anything. I sought to fix this by restarting my computer, after which it once again got stuck on the welcome screen, forcing me to do another system restore. Either zadig is a virus and needs to be quashed, or there is a major flaw in the program that needs to be worked out. I'll be happy to attempt to recreate this and do whatever monitoring necessary to diagnose this problem and post the results here.

My last question is this: why isn't this more user friendly? Can't you do something similar to what motioninjoy does with the single interface with clear and consistent instructions on how to install. Also, when I use motioninjoy, I can select game controller properties and see the controller working through the windows interface for controllers, but with just xinput the option isnt there, and all that appears is an "xbox 360 controller" device that windows says needs troubleshooting. I'm sure the back-end stuff works fine, but this program really needs work on the front end.

You're right.
and since it is open source, when do you think you'll be able to release a better frontend ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Didn't say I was going to do it. I don't want to play Fable Anniversary with a ps3 controller badly enough to spend my time learning .net or whatever they used to make this. If I can't find a solution before I leave home today then I'm coming home with a 360 controller and using it.
I've been using these drivers for a while now, and have been pleased. But recently, I've been going back and playing some older PC games, and the gamepad support is wonky at best. Those games don't allow you to map the dpad or L2/R2 buttons since it sees them as analog buttons for some reason, and thus ignores them. This is a deal-breaker on games like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, for example, which I simply will not play with analog sticks or keyboard controls.

Is there any work-around to this, besides using Xpadder?
