Yet another Final Fantasy X help thread!
#1
Hi, I just installed and set up the emulator to run the game. The game runs, but it doesn't run smoothly.
It lags at battles, and it lags with FMVs.
My computer specs are as follow

Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
AMD Phenom X4 B55 (All 4 cores unlocked) @ 3.20 GHz
GeForce 460
8 gbs of Ram

What other information should I prepare?

Thanks a lot for all help!!

Set VU cycle hack to 0 and use DX10/11 in GSdx not DX9.

Thanks a lot, more smooth so far! Will report back if any problems!

Edit: There is still a bit of lag entering battles.
Edit2: There are still FPS lags from time to time Sad

If you crank the EE cycle rate hack to 3 then you should see an improvement. The game doesn't have the crackling audio issue it mentions in the speedhack. so no worries

His CPU is much more than enough to run this game at above full speed with NO speed hacks so something is very wrong there. When you get 'lags' what kind of FPS do you get? What do the EE and GS percentages at the top of the window display at those times?

my FPS goes down to around 15-20 when it lags.
I'll report back when I encounter the lag again.

When it's lagging, EE is at around 30%, GS at around 4-10%

maybe it's your CPU temperatures during the spikes kindly check it using CoreTemp.

don't expect that much on your rig during spike encounters such as Demi,Hellfire.
