a question about pcx2
#1
I just downloaded PCX2 onto my laptop and got it working but I am having trouble getting games to start in the emulator. I went this route because my 7 yr old god son hogs the ps2 station when he is awake and home. only when he is away from home or sleeping can I get any time in on it. I copyed the following games onto my hard drive. "the incredables" "splinter cell" "ratchetland" and call of duty 2 big read 1 and finest hour. I can't get any of this games to work on the emulator. I followed the setup instructions for PCX2 to the letter.

Do you know what SOL stands for...? ;P

For your sake,
I recommend you give up with that system.

I like to help,
but I don't care to waste time (including yours).

Rezard was not trying to be mean actually...

1st,

Recommended CPU speed for PCSX2 = 3.2 GHz and above
While yours = 2.099 GHz or 2.1 GHz

2nd,

Recommended GPU for PCSX2 = Geforce 8600 GT or higher (including ATI counter part)
You GPU = ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

So, what kind of speed and playability would you expect from that??? Sad

well the HD 3200 isn't a bad IGP though, it was one of the fastest IGPs in that time, but about the CPU it is recommended to have atleast a Quad Core that runs around 3 GHz to be sure that u can run most games normally. Also they do recommend to use an Intel CPU, even though I'll stay using AMD Smile

Plus i have INTEGRATED graphics and 2.99 ghz quad core. and i was getting 100 fps XD

The more modern IGP can be decent enough for some games.
Thanks for trying to confuse the OP, though. ;P

The HD 3200 is not that impressive.
I don't know how to stress this enough, apparently.

The real issue with the processor is it's age and arch.
That 2.1Ghz would be just about the slowest 2.1Ghz you can get.

Now-- You wanna know the real big problem...?
The games you are wanting to emulate could prove too much for even a decent system.
Unless "The Incredibles" is incredibly easy to emulate,
you wouldn't get playable speeds with any of those games.
