are my specs compatible?

I'm not very savvy at this so I thought I'd just simply ask. I got PCSX2 running and an ISO to run and of course the audio and video lag. I didn't expect my laptop to be good enough, but was wishful. Glare If it's good enough, what adjustments do I make? And before that, how do I get back to configuration? (Video tutorial had a different version of PCSX2.) The last time I saw configuration was in the first-time wizard.

There are many threads about laptops with similar specs. You will be able to run a few games full speed. Most will have slowdowns. Make sure your power management is set to high performance. Watch out for heat which causes cpu throttling. Try these only as needed and experiment with their results...the MTVU hack, EE timing and VU cycle stealing, and using only native resolution. And if all else fails try this..

And finally, read page 1 of this thread for more info...

Your specs should be fine to run lightweight games, but you'll have to experiment playing heavyweight games, i.e. Gran Turismo 4. And yeah, click on the link DaTankAC has in his reply, that should help you
