I havent had any problems running all my games using bios-skip hack,i think that the chances you are getting an error enabling it are barely zero

if i remember right its not about getting an error but it affects stability of game (like game freezing always at a point) i think a moderator said that in a user with a problem in his game (i hope i remember correct). well as i can see ps2 now is emulated even farther if bios affects the game regions u can play(we even can see ps2 logo now Oo )

Ok, it seems we do have a problem with our region detection somehow.
Looks like all games get detected as NTSC ones, so none would start regularly on a PAL BIOS.
Maybe I'm missing something though, will ask around..

edit: i could play a pal game with both the eu and the us bios (db z infinite world), in eu all was perfect in us the ps2 logo was corrupted.

Alright, solved it more or less.
It seems like the region lockout as we know it is only implemented in BIOS versions >= 2.0

Nothing of that has any influence on game emulation though, as games rely on the same libs anyway.

wow pretty fast fix i must say,should it be on pcsx2 changes list on google code?
