sorry if i was vague on the explanation, the amount of ram you have is the amount of cache your processor has for programs, while the speed of the cache stated, 800mhz, yes you are right, i did no mention the divider to get the speed, it was just a example though, and the speed of the RAM will change the performance of the cache stored on the RAM, say internet explorer for a example, with ddr2 800mhz RAM your computer will load internet explorer faster then ddr 400mhz ram, that's common sense though.
