dev9giga_razi help - no hardware connected?
#1
Hi there. I'm trying to set up PCSX2 to play online. I'm fairly familliar with the emulator as I've been using it for about three months now, but ironically enough it's the easiest part of the How To Play Online Guide that I'm having trouble with (should I be using another guide? That was the most-updated one I could find).

Code:
3. Burn the Disc ID Util CD Version to CD or Disc ID Util DVD Version to DVD and run it on your PS2 (using tricks described in the BIOS dumping guides)
4. Insert your game disc and press X, Read off your Disc ID, this is your DNAS code. You might want to read your Network Access Disc Disc ID too, so you can complete the setup.

Therein lies my problem. I don't have a working PS2 to get the Disc ID or DNAS codes off of.

I'm not at all opposed to off-beat/illegal ways to obtain disc IDs or DNAS codes, so if there exist any methods that would be 'over the thin blue line', please do suggest them.

I've figured out how to boot into the PS2 BIOS by selecting Config > No Disc and booting like normal, but I need (to boot) a disc (image) to get the disc ID off of.

Solved the above problem on my own.

Code:
7.5. Repeat 4-6 with your Network Access Disc.

8. Next you will need run the Network Access Disc, or some means of making your network config, some games might work, but some will just show garbage, so this is the best option. All network adapters and slim PS2's come with one. DHCP doesn't work, so hard code your IP addresses. You can either run this on your PS2 and transfer over your NETCONF files to a PCSX2 memcard, or run it on PCSX2 directly.

Now this is where I've hit my second snag. Apparently "Online Start-Up Disc" and "NAD" are different things. I have two versions of the "Online Start-Up Disc" but do not own a "NAD" disc.

Not even the darkest corners of the Internet seem to have a PAL or NTSC copy of a NAD image. I poked around a bit and realized that Star Wars Battlefront, a game I already have dumped, includes a network configuration utility.

Feeling a bit better, I booted up my SWB image and headed into the network config utility. Its appearance was somewhat off-putting, but at least it was usable.

However when I attempted to save new network config to my PCSX2 memory card, I was greeted with this error:

I have thus far equated "hardware" with my dev9giga_razi plugin's ethernet device:

I have attempted to run the network config utility with each one of these ethernet devices, but to no avail. I still lack hardware, apparently.

I'm honestly stumped. Will anyone assist me?

If it helps, I got this error when loading my SWB disc image. It's something to do with WinPcap, but I can't make it out:

Again, I know it's something to do with WinPcap, as NPF is WinPcap as listed in msinfo32's System Drivers section.

I'm going to try redumping my PS2 BIOS as I'm afraid it may be incomplete as it is now. I read somewhere that you need valid NVM files for dev9giga_razi to work properly. Will edit this post with results.

EDIT: This seems to have produced results. I now at least have a hardware option from within NAD, but due to the obvious emulation issue with NAD I cannot actually see what this hardware is. I will attempt to go ahead and use it anyway, will edit further whether it actually works or not.
