It does ok if you don't overclock. But really, it's easy to overclock even without an aftermarket PC cooler. Just monitor your temps if you don't have an aftermarket PC fan.

Get an 8600 over a Q6600. It has SSE4.1 and overclocks like a beast.

If that's the case, I'd take an E5200, that will overclock to 3.45GHZ on the stock cooler, providing the RAM is good enough.
AMD Phenom II 940 @ 3.6GHZ, 4GB PC8500 @ 1100MHZ, 4870x2 @ Stock.

the truth is i don't know how to overclock or anything related such as hazards. :-(

that why i wanted to leave it untouched. i would like to see quad implemented in pcsx2 and dolphin emu, that's my opinion. i know it's difficult and includes rewriting everything. i'm just saying, i would like it.

pcsx2 team do not take requests, either you wait or you buy a extreme edition of intel processor (like core i7) if you don't want to overclock
q6600 OC @ 3.3Ghz, 4gb ddr2 ram, nvidia gtx 260, 2x 1 tb hard disk

just buy a high speed dual core if you don't want to overclock. go E8400-E8600. but they're expensive so if you want to spend less go for a cheaper dual core solution and OC. i recommend any of the E7xxx or E5xxx series, both great overclockers. cheap too.
setup:
Intel E2180 @ 2.67Ghz
Nvidia GeForce 9600GT @ 730/1110/1785
1x2 GB Patriot LLK 800Mhz 4-4-4-10

I want my desk to be made of solid gold, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Anyone has some impressions with AMD 7750 Black Edition? It runs on 2.8Ghz on default [can go to 3.2 easily]
