3.2Ghz with stock Heatsink, if you add slighly volt to cpu and rise FSB a little, mostly you can get 3.45Ghz or you can wait PhenomII X2 45nm and Athlon64 45nm release in june 09. Info in website those processor can hit to 3.9Ghz with add slighly volt only add to 0.1v3.2Ghz with stock Heatsink, if you add slighly volt to cpu and rise FSB a little, mostly you can get 3.45Ghz or you can wait PhenomII X2 45nm and Athlon64 45nm release in june 09. Something amazing that I have an AMD 7750 that can unclok 4 core with Jetway Mainboard, I'm a hardware seller so it quiet amazing, the Benchmark sorce go up well.So if you buy an AMD 7750 maybe you can unclock 4 core an get a free AMD II 940 BE.So buy it,I can overclock it to 4.9Ghz with my Cooling Sytem(Please don't try this clock with stock fan or your CPU will burn like a torch!!!)

Wtf?.....

The 7750's a phenom I with two cores disabled. Not a Phenom II
Come back with facts and possibly beter literature.
4.9GHZ? LOL... You've got liquid nitrogen cooling?

AMD claimed for the 920 to reach 4GHZ easy.. Hell, my 940 won't reach 4GHZ, don't believe what information says.

And the Phenom II's are already 45nm, the CPU you're talking about is the AM3 Phenom II 945 revision, with a 95W TDP.

I meant for X2 (dual core) cpu for PhenomII and AthlonII 45nm, try to seek that info to xtremesystems forum first.

It's not such a gross error, really. The 7750 BE is an awesome deal which is the primary point being made by the previous poster,. While the 7750BE does have 4 cores (as it is infact a Phenom X4), I wouldn't recommend trying to use the other two as they are more likely to either not work, or degrade overall performance and cause seriously glitchy behavior. But to anyone wanting a highly overclockable performance dual-core, these can be had for peanuts. 3.2-3.4 is an easy overclock with these chips and it really doesn't get simpler. This is probably one of the best price/performance upgrades I've ever purchased.

To register, my mistakes, I did hear about AMD making new dual core's.
And to the whole 7750 BE mass fest that's going on right now..

Clock speed = nothing if it can't perform. The Phenom's didn't perform when compared to C2D's

I would take an E5200 over a 7750 BE any day. On my brother's cheapy motherboard I got it from 2.5GHZ to 3.45GHZ, I've also seen overclocks of 4.4GHZ on it, good luck to any AMD getting that on air.

What kind of motherboard do you have?

XFX Nforce 680i LT

I got my processor and motherboard bundled from Tiger Direct for like $150. Best deal of my life.

Since you have such an old motherboard, you'll probably habve to get a new one for the q6600. If anything you should be going AMD and getting a Phenom 2 X3 or X4. You get much better bang for your buck, and better performance with the X4. Plus, you run GTA 4 well enough on an X3(Which is a tri core) or even a high clocked dual core.
