A new whole computer, something like a dual core 3.5, 4 gigs of ram, and a geforce 8800 gts 512, and that should be the minimum i thinkNinja

You don't need 4GB of ram for pcsx2, not even for PC gaming.
But you need the rest for sure.

Yes, a very powerful PC is needed.Tongue Stitch: Experiment 626 for PS2 runs 60 FPS on my 2.1GHz, but nothing else on the PS2 does.Tongue

You need like 3.5GHz like he said, and 4.0GHz would be really fast... possibly overclock it and you got a PC ready for the Wii!Biggrin

My 2.1GHz runs Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Gamecube) at 30-45 FPS, which is still playable.Smile

A C2D, such as an E5200, E8400 is a natural choice, the E5200 is a nice overclocker, supports SSSE3, and the E8400 supports SSE4, as well as being a nice overclocker.
They're both on the wolfdale chip.

And what "dual core" is 3.5GHZ? Plus, what series are you even talking about?

And, 4GB RAM's only good if you're on a 64 bit O/S, or else some goes to waste.. If I was to use a 32bit O/S on my PC, I'd only get like 2.? amout of GB.
AMD Phenom II 940 @ 3.6GHZ, 4GB PC8500 @ 1100MHZ, 4870x2 @ Stock.
