Pcsx2 0.9.6 r1888 is very buggy, i can't even complete the first stage of Zone of the Enders 2 because of random crashes. I don't see why anyone would want to use it...

with speedhacks as I usually put them I can peak it at 101, averaging about 86fps

I don't know...maybe it's because of my pc or something else(I'm using XP SP2 and my video drivers are really old 81.98)

With "pillgen-30fps-ntsc.elf" my speed on both versions is ~65fps

Dx9 and old crappy drivers, yea, that is most likely it lol.

(I used DX10 and new drivers, as of the beginning of the month)

on a side note: why aren't you on SP3?

Thank you for making my point for me. Under what basis do you say that 1888 is faster?

I don't see a point of updating my SP2...my pc is working just fine and about the video drivers...for some reason I have all kind of problems once I update my video drivers but with 81.98 everything is ok.

Also I used DX9 but you are using DX10 for your tests(I think)

yes, I'm using dx10, and SP3 improved a great deal (also might be why your drivers don't work right)

drivers to make a pretty big difference too. DMC4 used to be unbearably slow for me on my 8600, now it's fine lol

I just did it with r1888 and r3878. There was a difference of about 5% in favor of r3878.

Does the processing of this ELF compare with any PS2 game...? It just seems like results could vary from this to some games...
