frame rate problem

Hello all =D

I am currently playing Kingdom Hearts 1 all has been well untill I have got to destiny island the frame rate drops dramatically from around 60 FPS to around 10 FPS when i get to certain cut scenes.

All my settings in PCSX2 are all at default (I didnt wanna mess around with anything just in case i broke it haha) could someone please give me some help with this?

I am a noob when it comes to technical stuff so go easy on me Tongue

specs:
Operating System = Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
Physical RAM = 1023 MB
CPU name = AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
Vendor/Model = AuthenticAMD (stepping 03)
CPU speed = 3.000 ghz (2 logical threads)
x86PType = Standard OEM
x86Flags = 178bfbff 00002001
x86EFlags = ebd3fbff
graphics card : ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 series

version of PCSX2 : 0.9.8

using an ISO image of the game

up EE cycle rate to 3 (if i recall it's one of the few games that doesn't suffer from audio stuttering, if you get it set it down to 2) and enable all recommended hacks, don't use above 2x scaling.

Thankyou very much just give it a quick whirl framerate is still slowish but nowhere near as bad as it was but i can live with it from what i read i can understand it not being perfect + rep to you Biggrin

and kudos to the makers of this great emulator Biggrin

is above 2x scaling for the custom res settings? or the speed hacks?

Scaling means that the native resolution will be doubled, so let's say native is 512 by 512, if u set it on Scaling 2x it would be 1024 by 1024.
