getting 15 FPS on God of War with I5/GTX 970 Rig.

getting 15-18 fps in the starting fight,
specs are  i5 4690k,8gb ram,MSI GTX 970 
what is causing this issue any idea? i was expecting 60 fps
i am using the latest version of the emulator

What are your GSdx\PCSX2 settings

^all default i guess.I did a fresh install just now.

By "fresh install" you mean pcsx2 wasn't installed before or?
If you used the installer version of pcsx2 before and you just installed the new one over the old one(uninstalling the old one is the same),your old settings are still the same.

On my PC,at the beginning of the game,the speed goes from 110 at native to 30 at 6x native

yes it wasn't installed before.I just downloaded and installed it today

Strange...what speed do you get if you use OpenGL or some of the software modes?

Please post the full emulog after you observed the problem.

Possible issues: DVD read time, power saving/heat throttling.

I had an issue after upgrading to 10 where a windows process was using about 20% CPU load at idle. Ended up being related to the notifications screen. Try disabling notifications and perhaps disable apps from running in the background.
