8400 gs is a bit weak for pcsx2.
at least a 8600 GT is required.

a dual core 2 may be good, depending on its clockspeed...
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go

Hi...

8400 GS was a gud make...to run pcx2 emulator games is more than sufficient dude;D

I use a dual core and find the FPS high with Turbo on but sadly some games just want that something extra so saving up for an i3 or i5 etc is the way to go for ultimate pcx2 Speed Biggrin

Run? For sure, get good speeds with it is a totally different matter though.

@ CCSMartian

an nvidia 8400gs is not more than sufficient,it isnt even good at all, with that gpu he will be limited to native resoultion and he wont have full speeds in a lot of games

a small correction here:

8400GS can't even handle native in many games, I had to scale down to 384x384 (math could be wrong it's 512 - 128) for it to even get decient speeds. software mode was faster..

Just try and see what runs faster for your games.

if you're using anything faster than 2.0 dual core, I'd suggest updating your GPU or going with software mode
