Dont use any program for overclocking cpu except you already expert/familiar. Seek with google, maybe can give you good info about it.

CPU's are overclocked in BIOS, by incresing multipler and/or bus speed, and incresing voltage for stability, better dont do it if you arent good with computers. You need to know things like whats the maximum safe temperature and voltage for your processor and if you dont have good heatsink you can burn your CPU.
Check my profile for hardware/software and games i played on PCSX2.

Core temp, CPUZ, Prime 95 (CPUZ for the CPU speed/voltage, Core temp for temperature, Prime 95 for stability testing)

Overclocking's dependant on your motherboard and cooling..
AMD Phenom II 940 @ 3.6GHZ, 4GB PC8500 @ 1100MHZ, 4870x2 @ Stock.
