increase fps

how do i increase fps it only shows 3 to 40 nd wen da game starts....green stripes appears and makes it impossible to play...how do i fix it..?? please help

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

I suggest Reinstalling the latest rev, and only configure your keypad select your Graphics plugin with the most supported version your gpx card will allow. It should say when booting up (sse1 sse2 sse3 sse41) and choose the one that restates in your plugin list ending with the last listed on Pscx startup. if it is still isnt working id say post your info. like bosit said

about green stripes, did you try software mode (F9 key ingame)

about fps -> yes, you can get a real GPU and a better cpu.
Else, no. Not much you can do to get better fps

maybe you should try latest svn if not done yet, because you didn't say what pcsx2 version you're using...
you didn't say if you made an iso or not.
