input not being recognized in game

I have a DX GGE909 PC Recoil Pad

and the emulator its self recognizes it. I mapped the buttens and tested the device. everything was good. when I open a game though, and press buttons nothing happens. I think that maybe there's some box I didn't click or something that is stopping me from being able to press. anyone know what the deal is?

Are you using the new beta 0.9.7 ?

try using direct input under Lilly pad and see if that helps.
My xbox360 controller had some problems using windows messaging

Other than that I don't know what to tell you. If the pcsx2 accepts keys from the pad in setup then it should work in the game.
