amd though...

found this, it's better. good cache, AM2+ (i have a motherboard with AM2 on it) (it isn't being used, the pc with it had BSOD, even in safe mode, so idk how i could use it though...)

Have you thought about WHY the Athlon IIs are so cheap? With new hardware you get what you pay for. You would have to overclock the Athlon II to 3.7+ to get similar performance of a Pentium G8XX.

Cheap one is not good one. If you currently get ~15 FPS, those CPU can increase the speed to 30 - 40 FPS. Not a enjoyable speed to be sure. At the end of the day you waste your money for 'em.

If your budget is short, wait 'till you can afford at least the Sandy (or Ivy) Bridge Pentium, along with a motherboard upgrade. It is the cheapest choice for a decent emulation speed.

someone is selling it for $80
and it supports sse4.1 and below AND DirectX11 (though i have dell XP precision 3800,with added 512mb gpu (as said by DirectXDiag, gpu has 256 written on it) and i used the DX10 Hack, but no DX11 hack yet Sad ) and has good cache/speed AND is LGA775 Laugh

probably can't take advantage of 64-bit though, due to motherboard (aaah well, i don't need 64-bit with 2GB RAM)
