gametitle=Kingdom Hearts (NTSC-U) [SLUS-20370]
//Freeze your health to 72
patch=1,EE,00524094,word,00000048
//Set the boss health to 0 so one hit and he's dead
patch=1,EE,10524340,word,00000000
and i tried to change "word" to "extend" as well. file name is 0F6B6315.pnach
here it is on notepad
These two codes already say much.
The first one could and probably is of byte length
the second is short lenght and how it is it has a big chance to simply crash the emulator.
so, you was right changing it to "extended" , if they aren't working that probably mean the code is not for your game version... still it is forcing the values on the given addresses what might mean BAD news, mainly if you are making sstate saves. Simply removing the cheat in this case will not clear the memory and remove the already done corruption to it.
You may need to make a normal memcard save, quit completely the emulator. Restart it and load from the memcard save (do not use sstate to it). Once it is done, hopefully the memory is clean and new sstates are good to go.
Edit: Just be sure it was understood... these codes must NOT be used anymore, they are wrong if did not work with the change to extended. delete them from the pnach file and proceed with that memory cleaning as told above.
