issues with playing ratchet and clank 2

when i open ratchet and clank 2 on pcsx2 0.9.6, it will work, but after i create a new game and run the opening cutscene it will freeze at a black screen or a screen of a planet. please help, will it work on 0.9.7, and if it will, how do i get it to run?
