The 9400M is very weak, at least if you plan to run it on OSX using OpenGL.

If you install Windows XP or 7 over bootcamp you would at least be able to play low demanding games like Final Fantasy X or Kingdom Hearts at a playable framerate using DirectX 9.
But your chances are bad for OSX, so Windows is your only option on that thing.

Main Rig: i7-3770k @4.5ghz | 16GB DDR3 | Nvidia GTX 980 TI | Win 10 X64
Laptop: MSI GT62VR | i7-6700HQ | 16GB DDR4 | Nvidia GTX 1060 | Win 10 X64

core 2 duo will suffer even in windows. I ran a core 2 duo at 3ghz and KH2 would get slow, ffx-2 was running above 90%, but not at 100% during fmv. That was a desktop processor too, dont think the laptop version is gonna cut it.
Intel core i7 3770
Intel dh67cl
Asus Geforce GTX 750 TI oc 2GB
32GB Crucial Ballistic Sport 9-9-9-24 ram
Windows 10 Pro
Corsair 1000 watt psu
