If Im correct thats a 2,1Ghz cpu, right?
If so then I highly doubt you will get any where near playable speeds. I dont have the game and dont know how demanding it is but very few games would run on that cpu. Just try it and see.
Specs:
CPU: C2D E8400 @ 3.6
GPU: GTX 560Ti 2Gb
MOB: Asus P5QL
RAM: Crucial 4Gb
OS: Windows 7 64bit/XP 32bit

Get the latest beta, set the "vu cycle stealing" speedhack to the max, make sure to check "native" in GSdx. That's about all you can do for speed, it probably wont be smooth but should give you some good speed, it is a very demanding game even on recommended PC so without upgrading your PC you really can't expect much of it.

I'd really suggest you keep playing it on your PS2, as even if you get playable speeds the quality wont be that great and will have plenty glitches.

mgs3 requires a hellish pc to run smoothly. You won get full speed with your rig unfortunately.

Yes but in some it works nicely, and as far as I remember it doesn't cause much of a problem in this one... well maybe don't need to set it to the max Tongue2

Some games will break already if using even just 'slight' others with higher, if it didn't help at all in any games it wouldn't be an option really Tongue
