pcsx2 issue

I`m running Linux Mint 17, I got everything installed, pcsx2 starts, but when I try to load the game(Fight Night 2) form the original DVD nothing happens and i get stuck at "Browser" and "System configuration". I made a ISO file after the dvd but if i select the iso it tells me to insert play station 2 format disk. Does anyone know how to resolve the issue?

Is your Mint 32 or 64 bit? Installed from PPA or compiled yourself?

Run pcsx2 from terminal. What does the terminal say when you get stuck? Do you have a valid BIOS file to run the ga,e?
