pcsx2 versions
#1
i have two pcsx2 one is installed in C: (1.0.0 )and another ONE installed in H: (0.9.8 )

when i open the H: (0.9.8 ) version
the plugins load from the C: C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins

when it should be loading from H:\PCSX2 0.9.8\Plugins

example:

Loading plugins...
Binding GS : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\gsdx32-sse2-r5350.dll
Binding PAD : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\lilypad-r5350.dll
Binding SPU2 : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\spu2-x-r5350.dll
Binding CDVD : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\cdvdiso-r5350.dll
Binding USB : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\USBnull.dll
Binding FW : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\FWnull.dll
Binding DEV9 : C:\Program Files\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\DEV9null.dll

this is normal since the plugins path is stored in your registry by default.
if you want it to use the plugins from your pcsx2 dir, create a partable.ini blank file in pcsx2's root dir.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Everyone is saying that but I actually have nevers seen a thread that was solved by installing somewhere else...

I installed various versions of pcsx2 in program files since more than 5 years and never had any problems...

It's mainly a trouble that have UAC enabled, people who don't (like myself) don't have any issues Tongue
