burnout 3 runs at full fps when the game is in the menu ...but when i start a race the fps comes down to 14-18 fps PLZ HELP!!!!!

If you use Skipdraw 1 (or 2 don't quite remember for this game) hardware mode will look fine and run faster. Check the configuration here on how to do that: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Official-...8#gsdxhack
