Man this thread is over 2,5 years old. PCSX2 0.9.8 plays FFX flawlessly with default settings and plugins so it's your PC more likely. Next time check the thread's date before reviving it please.

I thinks this is what make the problem. Did you check how many Ram your PC use when running Pcsx2???

Just one post above you Bositman points out that this thread is really old, so there is no point in trying to help the OP.

@Allanon1948 as Bositman said FFX should run without almost any problem so its most likely on your laptops side the problem lies, have you checked you temps while playing?
