PC specs? PCSX2 settings? Plugin settings? What do the EE/GS% numbers in the game window say when you get slowdowns?

As far as I know Jak games are very CPU demanding.

Apply some Speedhacks. (Try the Preset options if your still new to this.)
Didn't help? Lower the internal resolution to native.
Still nothing? See how the game runs with a software renderer.

That's a basic approach to an unfamiliar game (no experience with it here). If that doesn't show any promise, odds are either the game is a hard one to emulate, your specs are too low, or maybe even both.

Further advice will require the info requested. Smile

Ok, you do have a fairly slow CPU.

Also, it is very important what your GPU is. Check dxdiag (by typing it into the Start Menu) if you're unsure what yours is.

I was actually gonna suggest looking at the videos made by that german dude. You can translate his description to get a pretty good idea of how he managed it on the software side of things. But yeah, he has really good hardware too.
"For every age there is a time of trial. The rocks faced such a fire before they were the strength beneath our feet. The plants braved vast winds before their roots could give us life."
