No.
just use LilyPad,
Open the General tab and activate Windows messaging for the Keyboard API, Disable the Mouse API.
Game Device API: DirectInput, XInput.

Open the PAD1 tab and configure your desired keys.
click on one of the Buttons and then a keyboard key to assign it.
You first may have to clear all the keys after assigning new ones to not get confused with your previous assigned keys.

That's all.

But it's still highly recommended to use a Gamepad to have the best gaming experience! Wink

If you buy an xinput/xbox 360 compatible pad you can use xpad.
It doesn't need any configuration.

Any gamepad that works in windows will work on PCSX2. No matter what controller it is, you will have to manually configure it in PCSX2. You'll only have to do that one time though.
