ps2 vs xbox 360 controller
#1
I have the choice to get the adapter of the ps2 controller (Super Dual Box Pro $13) or xbox 360 controller (wireless receiver $30)

with the price range it looks like the ps2 controller adapter is the cheaper option but what are the benefits to using a ps2 controller or a xbox 360 controller? are the drivers for the xbox 360 controller perfected, or does the ps2 controller give you the exact feel like your on your ps2?

opinions, facts and advice would be greatly appreciated...

get a logitech f series game pad instead.

xbox 360 controller has crap directinput support and the super dual box drivers can be a pita to get installed and working.

I use this ps->usb converter with a PS2 controller:

Works great, and under Win7 didn't need any special drivers at all.

i was planning on getting the super dual box pro: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-6m-4...0-qc3.html
isn't that considered good quality?

any way would the f310 be decent, does it feel nice in your hands?

the 310 lacks rumble iirc

th price difference between the 510 and 310 isn't enough to justify NOT getting the 510.

If you have money to spend, you could also buy a ps3 dual shock controller with a bluetooth adapter: feels like a ps2 pad, without wire, and compatible with everything the x360 pad is, via emulation.
Intel i5-2500K Quad Core @ 3.30 Ghz
NVidia GTX 580 - 3Go RAM
4 Go DDR3 noname

I bought a 5 dollar controller at a flea market (a pelican xbox 360 wired controller) and it's perfectly working for me. and did i say 5 dollahs Smile.

I myself am having trouble setting up my dualshock3 controller, it's so absurd on how much time you have to set it up, while the 360 ones are plug and play.

I have xbox 360 browser. I my view XBOX live is more superior as to compare from the PS3 at Online.
