quick question

i posted this before but my previous post got buried deep in the forums so im going to ask again. will my pc run pcsx2?

amd fx 8350 octa core processor 4.0 - 4.2 ghz (octa core is what im really concerned about, because there is no mention about this anywhere else)
zotac nvidia gtx 770 1050 mhz 2gb
8gb ddr3 ram
windows 7

That thread says nothing About amd fx octa core series or about any processors with more than 4 cores

that won't change anything for pcsx2.
pcsx2 basically uses 2 cores (3 with MTVU hack enabled)
other cores may be used when using software mode, but the most important thing is the single thread performance of your CPU. Intel Haswell architecture is the best choice for pcsx2 ATM.

He meant that is where you are supposed to post this question.

PCSX2 can use a max of 3 cores, over that is useless for it. Single threaded performance is what matters, and AMD FX chips are low in it. However, at about 4.2Ghz it will be enough for most games.
