sc3 lag

Hi guys, I recently upgraded to an I5 2500k and oc'ed it to 4.2ghz prime stable. But somehow for this game it is only at 30+ fps. Using the new 4866 rev with mtvu. Could it be an ISO problem? Cuz I ripped it off my disc that had some scratches on it.

If it's Soul Calibur 3, use older GSdx, anything past last stable build(r4600) will cause slowdown in this game.

Its fine. Now In GSDX tick the Allow 8-bit Texture. And use Reccomended Speedhacks. Set the EE Cyclerate to 2 and VU Cycle Stealing to 1 (It may reduce image smoothness). If you have a good Graphics Card then, press PageUp Key During Gameplay to improve picture smoothness.

Well, Also, try setting under Emulation --> EE --> Clamp Mode to None and Round Mode to nearest.

Leave the VU's as it is.

Hope it will work Smile

Nope nothing from the above will make any difference in this game. It is exactly what miseru99 said, you must use a GSdx at about r4576, anything newer will saturate the GS thread no matter your PC. I got ~30 FPS on my i5 @4,3 Ghz with the newer GSdx and about 120 FPS with r4576. Speed hacks won't help either, so an older GSdx build is the only 'solution'.

@lalaxx i heard the newer builds causes slowdown's especiallyfor this game ....try the official 0.9.8 build or an older build.....u should definetely get full speed.....
@bositman what exactly is causing slowdowns for this game in the newer builds???

@XcaliburXI to be exact it's this issue caused by this commit. Official stable release didn't had it included soo any GSdx version pre r4592 OR r4600 will work just fine.
