Tongue2 except in some driver cases toggling can crash your video card.

Would do the same if you stop and change settings to native, the crash is not the software toggle but the reset it does to apply the settings.

Actually, i'm not sure if any cpu is able to do so. At least for now.

My specs:
CPU - E6800 (3,3Ghz -> 4,2 Ghz oc)
GPU: 9600Gt
Ram: 2x2Gb Corsair GC9

It runs FFX-2 fmvs at ~56fps in software mode. I think it's enough for me.

When ever I run FF X-2 it starts at 50 fps, then plummets down to 10 fps during the opening video, how do I fix this?

get a stronger cpu

is you get problems with video, simply Turn on the Last hack which enables auto swith to gdfs and you'll be fine.
