hi evrybdy, i have lenovo laptop, Core2duo, 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 256 MB shared graphic card. When i run Tekken -5 , it shows 100% CPU usage. & the speed is 1/5th times slower than original. If i increase RAM, is it going to work? nyways i can't change graphic card memory. what shud i do other than changing my laptop??? plz guide

using speedhacks & gsdx Native res may help a bit, but, you'll hardly get playable speeds as your CPU is quite weak for pcsx2 and Tekken 5 is a very demanding game.

oh, and by the way, increasing RAM amount won't change a lot, as pcsx2 relies more on cpu/gpu

The bug report forum is NOT for speed problems or support. Moving out. I will soon start handing out warnings for misuse of the forum, this has been going on for too long

Yes it is, but the frequency has to be quite high (at least 2.5 ghz to get fair results, but 3.6ghz is better ,of courseSmile)

...And you're right. most of the time you'll get a better cooling system than on a laptop, and a more powerful GPU too

For Tekken-5 you need 3.2GHz Core Duo processor (E8500), not 1.6GHz.

i lately learned that setting both "Clamp mode's" in Advanced options to "None" speeds up my games realy much, thanks to that i can even play SotC or Rogue Galaxy at full speed and no slowdowns, you might want to give it a try eventualy. ( also turn every speedhack possible on, except for VU Cycle Stealing, and dont turn on Micro VU, it slows down the games for me, in my opinion it should only be used if game lacks compatibility and likes to crash. )
Check my profile for hardware/software and games i played on PCSX2.

Tekken 5 has major problems with Clamping set to None, so that won't work in this case.
