Try using gsdx 0.1.4 its older but it runs almost 20% faster then any other plugin for me, and runs really well. Make sure wait vsync is unchecked in the graphics config and I also found direct x9 is far better then 10

Im using playground downloaded from front page of this site, all speed hacks enabled (will cause some cutscences not to start but just turn them to stable then quick save and turn them back on) and the game runs 100% nearly all the time for me

Im using a dual core 2.5gz with vista ultimate 64 and 4gb of ram, UK/Euro/PAL version of FF12 and bios ripped by me.

What graphics card do you use? You CPU should be fine for FF12 but probably your gfx card is the reason for slow FPS. I used to have a GF8600GTS and with a [email protected] Ghz I only had 40-50FPS in FF12 even in native resolution. Then I got a GF260GTX+ and since then I can play FF12 easily with constant 60+ FPS Wink.

gf 9800gt. I get gpu slowdown only in big resolution , but i play in 1360*768. (I switch from native to 1080p in crowd and fps doesn't change).
Today i get PAL iso, so i have more than 50 fps in most cases and freezings in movies with peops spu2(don't like zerospu2's sound in this game) Laugh Biggrin Tongue.

I knew it! I got a problem with a huge number of random crash because of the video plugin GSdx 872m 0.1.12.

Any version of GSdx still persists the trouble.

Can you suggest any other video plugins for FFXII/FFXII IJZS? The plugins that give decent fps and an OK graphic rendering like GSdx does, any?

Playground version: Can't remember... 1.0.35 maybe?
CPU Options: All default, plus added option for multiple cores
Plugins used:
Graphics: Gsdx 872m (MSVC 15.00, SSSE3)
Sound: SPU2ghz Playground 1.90
Controller: SSSPSX PAD Plugin Pressure Mod 1.7.0
Cdvdrom: Linuzappz Iso CDVD 0.7.0
Dev9: DEV9null Driver 0.3.0
Usb: USBnull Driver 0.5.0
FireWire: FWnull Driver 0.4.0
Bios: USA v01.60

Menu Bug:
When I open a menu using Triangle, then close it, no problem. But, if I select something in the menu, ANYTHING, such as equipping items, looking at stats or world map, etc, THEN close the menu, the Emulator crashes.

If I save a game using a save crystal, then go to load the save, the game crashes on the load screen.

This is really bad because I can't change my equipment!

I am going to try buying a new weapon and equipping it on purchase so I don't have to open the equip menu, but I still won't be able to equip items I get from fights or treasures...(some of the best in the game are gained this way).

My System:
ASUS P5K Deluxe Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme Q6850
4GB DDR 10000 RAM
nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX 768mb
Windows Vista Ultimate 64
Latest version of PCSX2 Playground as of December 28, 2008 (not sure how to tell my version number)

You realize its not Core 2 Duo Q6850. (Q Stands for Quad) so its either a Core 2 Duo E6850 or a Core 2 Quad Q6850. btw nice computer but some of your specs are a bit awkward like the processor and 4GB DDR 10k?

Or its OX6xxx, you know these CPUs with unlocked multipliers.

BTW It's DDR2, P5K supports DDR2 only.
