[split] Star Ocean 3 configuration

Ok for the most part this game runs great, the only thing thats still bugging me is the fps drop during battles. With the real time battle system its just not fun going at 2/3rd the speed it should be, its very sluggish.

Has anyone else ran into this problem? If so how did you remedy it.

I am using PG r708
Gdsx 0.1.7 1680x1050 internal rez of the same resolution.
spu2ghz 1.9.0 xaudio 2, Linear, time stretching
EERec, Vu0rec, VU1rec, Mtgs
VU Add tri ace fix
x2 cycle rate , Enable IOP x2, Waitcyclyes sync hack (all speed hacks)
Flush to zero Denormals are zero checked.


I have tried many different resolution settings, and they dont seem to change a thing, i can play 1680x1050 or 640x480 and get the same fps
during battles. Native res also doesnt change anything other then making it look like crap.

The battle speed stay mostly the same for me, except at some map like sphere company (~45fps) or airie hills (~30-40 fps in the middle of map).

My config is almost the same as you but I use native setting and it does help alot (always 55-60 fps with frame limit on). With internal rez the speed was like 60% off in both battle and exploring mode (20-30 fps).

It took me 10 days to finish it. Since i completed it once b4 with my ps2, it s easy to go through it again. And with savestate it ease the lvling part alot with 3x bonus always on Tongue.
