stuttering issues

Hello, i'm very newbies here. Just curious- sometime around 1-2hour of gameplay video and audio got stuttering, around 25-30fps drop, usually FF-XII, tekken 5, soulcalibur III and so on. It fix after restart the emulator, and the problem occur at 1-2hour gameplay.



does this normal? just ask. thanks

my rig:

win7 ultimate 64, sp3
i5 2400 3.1ghz
HD 6850 1GB
8GB ram

here my pcsx2 config, all in default setting, internal resolution 1920x1080,
pcsx2 v1.1 svn r-5719, plugin: GSdx5721 sse41

Tried disabling intel speedstep ?
How are your cpu temps when you play ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Just disable intel speedstep, gonna give a try. my cpu core run at safe temp around 40c during gaming using pcsx2. Thanks for help. will reply if it work Smile

i found the prob. yes, it temperature problem. After playing about 1hour my cpu goes up to 98c!. gonna buy new cooler

98C! Yeah that is a problem... your motherboard should actually automatically turning your PC off once it passes 70-80c. Or at least down throttling a lot sooner.

98c for a CPU is well pass the point of possible system damage. If I were you I'd refrain from playing anything stressful till you either get a new cooler or at least clean/reseat/apply new thermal paste to your current one.

After put some thermal grease, cpu goes down average 60c, no more stuttering issues. thanks for the help, and thanks to pcsx2 team for this awesome emulator. problem solve. Laugh

I think this thread need to be close now (as thread author problem is solved) because to prevent this thread form another person to use for thire own. And sorry if i say something wrong. :-P
