sudden FPS drop?

sudden FPS drop?
I recently started replaying Kingdom Hearts, and set up of the emulator was a little tricky, but I managed to find Kingdom Hearts sweet spot on my computer. I went to play the other day and my fps was fluctuating horribly from 18 - 65 frames per second. I also noticed my EE% was damn near 100% the entire time when using GSdx sse2. (Phenom ii :/) Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone before? I was also NOT using any speed hacks. Just a nicely configured GS plugin.

Here are my specs
AMD phenom ii X4 955 @ stock 3.2 ghz
4gb OCZ black
nvidia 470 @ stock

I assume those are the important specs, but let me know if you wanna know anymore.

What PCSX2 version? What settings?

Try some speedhacks, make sure there's no power saving features active and try setting the power profile in your control panel to high performance.

Try the latest beta if you aren't already:
