whatever happens, SotC IS slow.

rememeber those framerate drops you had on your PS2 while playing it ? you'll get them with the emu anyways.
only way to reduce this "fps drops frequency" is using vu cycle stealing speedhack to 1 or 2.

About brightness, don't use 2x native or 6x native.
set custom internal res, but keep a "square" one (like 1024*1024)

what is you CPU clockspeed, btw ? because shadow of the colossus is VERY demanding

I have an i5 2500 is not k, fps are fine, the light that is too intense at the edge of unplayable, but from what I understand you can not do anything. although I have seen videos on youtube where you can see very well with pcsx2
I tried to set 1020x1020 but the light still sucks. I am afraid of having to buy back a ps2 to be able to play again with dignity

I'm affraid you need to own a PS2 to play pcsx2 legally, anyways.
