ya well U are right and maybe the stress of depraved sleep frustration all fell on me cuz It was a late hour here back then and I was up till 3am waiting for my wife to comehome from here Graveyard shift from the hospital she's a nurse and a few friends came over too have a few bottle's of beer well that few bottle's turned into a whole case of beer and then that turned into another case next thing I knew I was drunk!!!! after the whole drinking I opened my PC and went online the first thing I saw was That guy calling me u a know what so it just rung the bell on me right away Sorry!!!!!!

and PLZ no more takin about the HD5XXX cards ur cards ur only makin me envious Im not reffering U Bossman Im talkin about the other guy's I hate it when they keep referring that card to me since its not my list its not even on my list of things to get in the near future it will probably take about 2-3 more years before the price is down enough so that I afford one

Tbh, if the choice is between HD4870, GTS250, or 8800GT like you've said in your first post, I'd most definitely choose the HD4870.
Performance-wise, HD4870 > GTS250 > 8800GT.

IIRC, there's no GTX250; the lowest end of the GTX line was the GTX260.
GTS250's performance is around the same as a 9800GTX if I'm not mistaken; some people believe the GTS250 line is just a re-branded 9800GTX.

If those are the only options and anito9999 did indeed mean GTS 250, for best performance HD 4870 is the best choice, and for best performance/price the GTS 250 should be better (about 50 bucks cheaper and ~15% slower). 8800GT would be out of the question since anito9999 wants no bottlenecks.

Just for the record a 5770 should be about as pricey as a 4870 and be more futureproof ;P

I'm pretty sure I heard that the 250 is just a rebranded 98xx gt, its been rebranded 3 times now I think? Anyways, if the 4870 is significantly cheaper compared to the 5770 definitely get the 4870. I know when I built my desktop (last fall 09, but I live in the USA) the 4870 was more expensive than the 5770, and I wanted to be a little bit more futureproof. Also, the 5770 uses less power IIRC. So if you can't order online from like newegg or zipzoomfly, and are stuck with a brick and mortar store, try to get the 4870.

But figure out your price range/performance and buy with that. I am currently eyeing another 5770, but am waiting till it drops to about 155 before I order it.
(I originally got my 5770 for $165 US)

yup 4870 then atlast somebody properly telling me things and yes the the 4870 is cheaper here now cause they say it's an older card I could get a palit 4870 sonic at around 80-90$ here or maybe a normal palit 4870 which is at 75$ bucks the local here is selling them cheap so they could get rid of em quikly and after selling all the stocks the only thing that you would be able to see is DX11 only cards well except for Nvidia of course the GTX250 is about 70$ here its cheaper here since the cards are stock they probably only has 1.5 years of warranty in them unless I contact the manufacturer and ask for warranty be counted upon the date of purchase which is quite a hassle around here to do
shops around here in my country is a little weird when they Sell a Vcard here the moment that a new card models come's they Immediately panics and sell the's Older models at a lower price especially if the cards are not selling even the disributors of every brand Does this so that would not have any remaining stocks and after that sale and all the stock's of that card is sold[every single brand XFX,Asus,Sparkle and many more] its there way to get more of there money back[even iF they sell it at lower price than the capital] so that they could focus it all on the new and Much more easy to sell cards [and of course they could sell it at higher price than intended so they could bring in more money] same to processors the prices of the an e5400 was below 100$ a few months ago but after the I3 and I5 arrived at the shop's they are selling them now at BELOW 50$ yup and the lower e5200 and e5300 is no longer in stock they sold all of em already after that BYe BYe e5XXX procie's they will be gone in the shops forever it's a dirty but Working strategy to Upgrade your PC and Go waste more money so if Your PC brake'sdown in the near future You will be force'd to Upgrade Ur PC from a dualcore/Core2 PC to an Icore PC since no more parts For Ur PC can be bought anymore

I could not even get a Brand New AGP card anymore for my brother's PC I had to settle for a refurbished 2nd hand used card imported form Korea [believe Ive been to a dozen or more shops already and none of them sell's one anymore]

Well that is interesting, except for the fact that online retailers exist, and ship internationally, altho depending on where you are, the shipping charges can be high

I actually read the previous page again. I don't think you mentioned exactly why you couldn't order off an online retailer. I hate to promote a store, but I usually swear by newegg.com. (not affiliated)
