geforce 600 & higher, radeon hd 7790 & higher, poor intel (skylake & higher), god most of gpus aren't supported.  Blink Wacko

AMD GCN 7000 series and above.
NVIDIA Kepler 600 series and above (Fermi supports DX12 btw so it might get an update for Vulkan as well).
Intel 7th generation igpus (excluding Ivy Bridge).
CPU: I7-4770 3.9GHZ
Motherboard: Asrock B85M - DGS
RAM: Hyper X Savage 2x8GB 1.6GHZ CL9
GPU: GTX1070 8GB GDDR5
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

are you sure about nvidia? because i've checked the wiki page & said below 600 isn't supported:

Yeah that was a typo. Was thinking about dx12.

I think they support dx12. However they cant run certain specific dx12 type off instructions which means its likely to perform slower running vulkan/dx12 than opengl/dx11 ..as with allot off nvidia gpus..

The upside is nvidia supports full tile rasterization and amd does not .. but amd support fully hardware thread execution of asyncronous compute and most games tend to use that 

Honestly..... wait to upgrade when the ps5 is out.. not many games use dx12 or vulkan. ..
ID SOFTWARE make the best low level api games but the only other games are microsoft first party titles ...
Everything else are dx12 wrappers (dx11 game that runs in dx12) .. or so i have herd

Supporting dx12 and actually working faster in dx12 are totally different things...

Nvidia pascall/ volta are the only ones that gain performance
Anything below looses it big time

Same goes for AMD
Any radeon gpu from the HD7000 and higher support it

Intel kaby lake igpu apparently supports asynchronous compute too
