x3100 help?
#1
Okay, so I've spent the last 8 or so hours trying to get this to work with no luck so far.

I have an intel GMA x3100 graphics card in my laptop(which is horrible). But I've read a few different kinds to getting this emulator to work on in. I've tried on both the 9.8 and 9.6 versions with no luck.

I always end up getting an error message telling me that the gs failed to open.

I'm guessing it's most likely because of my crap graphics card, but according to what I read, if I configure everything correctly it should work.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

And BTW, before trying anything else, update directx

Thank You.

don't install it to a special folder.
better create your own folder like c:\pcsx2

oh, and read The FAQ, too

The first bit didn't work,

I looked around the FAQ, but didn't find anything.
To be fair though, I don't really know what I'm looking for.
